Strawberry Fields Academy » Massillon OH » 2008-2009 School Year
Students from Strawberry Fields Academy created a documentary about settlements on the Tuscarawas River.
Students created a documentary focusing on the settlements along the Tuscarawas River. Students conducted their research with canoe trips up and down the river looking for the headwaters and settlement sites and contacting the author or “The History of Lake Township” to help guide their research. Copies of the documentary were donated to the Massillon Museum and the student’s goal was to chronicle the history of the river to inspire people to maintain the 130 mile stretch by keeping it clean.
